Freedom Church is a dynamic inter-generational church comprised of people from many backgrounds. We believe that knowing God personally through Jesus Christ is a life-changing experience. None of us are perfect. We look to Christ as our example, and encourage one another in the journey. We are a Church that teaches the Bible, God's Word in a life-related message so you can learn more about the love, forgiveness, and peace that God offers to each one of us.
Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, it is our hope and desire that you sense the love of Jesus when you worship with us and that you discover or rediscover God's plan for you.

Our Vision
We are a part of The Wesleyan Church
Our History
Our church started in 1924. The original Denomination is one that you might not have heard of, The Pilgrims Holiness Church. Therefore, our church's first name was Colby Pilgrims Holiness Church. Its first location was the former Presbyterian Church building on 4th and Range. The founding pastor was Reverend and Mrs. Cork in 1924. The second building was located on School and Walnut.
Then, on June 26, 1968, The Pilgrim Holiness Church Denomination and the Wesleyan Methodist Church Denomination merged, creating The Wesleyan Church Denomination that exists today. This meant that our church was now a part of the Wesleyan Church Denomination. We changed our name to Colby Wesleyan Church. In 2024 we felt called to continue to grow in living out the Gospel of Jesus by changing our name to Freedom Church.
